Heritage Plaster Services - New London Salon for Oskar Pink

Just before Christmas Oskar Pink opened their latest salon in Camden, North London.

We worked alongside the client, with the assistance of the Designer and Project Manager, Andy Marsh of Youtilis, to create a salon with a different look.

The completed design created a great look and feel for a modern hair salon but used traditional plaster architectural mouldings to provide a striking and alternative twist.

Cornice design LFA 60, "Pineapple", was supplied and fitted to the perimeter of the shop. This design was continued with the enriched mirror surrounds used to the eight number work stations within the salon.

The fruit and floral motive therefore becoming a main concept point of the decor, a bespoke manufactured item not only maintaining the design but also to suit the dimensions of the curved mirrors.

The Ram's head detail to the centre of each panel is based on an original Robert Adam cornice found in central London.

The visual impact of the completed project further illustrates the compatibility of traditional architectural plasterware within modern design and construction.
